At fifty years old, Halla, a singing teacher, declares war on the local aluminium industry, which is polluting her country. To do so, she takes all kinds of risks in order to protect the environment in Iceland. But her situation could change with the unexpected arrival of a letter that finally gives the green light to her adoption procedures for a girl.

Benedikt Erlingsson
Icelandic director, screenwriter and actor. Erlingsson is known as a theatre director, as well as for his roles in theatre, television series and films. His monologues are some of the most successful in the history of Icelandic theatre. “Of Horses and Men”, Erlingsson’s first feature film as a screenwriter and director, won more than 20 international awards, including the New Directors Award at the San Sebastian Film Festival in 2013.
